Not to mention the people who VOTED for the since-deposed pro-Russia president.

They never seem to matter, do they?

As a point of reference, the previous president, the pro-West Viktor Yushchenko, had a FOUR percent approval rating. According to Gallup a few months before the 2010 election:

"Eighty-five percent of Ukrainians in May told Gallup they disapprove of the job performance of their country's leadership. The 4% of Ukrainians who approve is not only the lowest rating Gallup has ever measured in former Soviet countries, but also the lowest in the world."

One thing I noticed acutely when I visited Moscow was the stark disparity in appearance between the women and the men.
The women are babes and the dudes just look like ass.

Yeah, Yanukovych and Putin are really being treated unfairly.

    Distorting Russia

How the American media misrepresent Putin, Sochi and Ukraine.

If nothing else, when Putin throws down his trident folks know he means business.
When our leader does the same it provokes snickering.
Nobody trembles when a wimp makes threats.

    This should convince them:

We hope that-- that this can be resolved according to the standards of the twenty-first century, and, frankly, according to the standards of the G8. If Russia wants to be a G8 country it needs to behave like a G8 country. And I guarantee you that everybody is determined that if this cannot be resolved in a reasonable, modern twenty-first century manner, there are going to be repercussions.

    The hubris is incredible.
This is a government that let a low-level bureaucrat do an end run around it.
And then made similarly hollow recriminations.

So, just out of curiosity, are you advocating American forces to invade Crimea?

The conflict there only predates the founding of the United States but Obama.

    John Kerry to Kiev tomorrow.

I'm assuming Billy Jean King was unavailable.
