    We were having a reasonable discussion about an important piece of intellectual history.
    Overzealous moderation.

    I'd buy any of my aggressors dinner and drinks.
    I just think it's funny a Tough Guy would tattle to a moderating team.
    Fight me here or on PMs, just stop whining about it for God's sake.

    I've always thought that an open forum should be an open forum.
    What kind of journalist would lock down an open forum? It's cowardly.

    Open forums usually police themselves, one way or another.
    The Politics thread sure did. Go elsewhere if you can't handle a brawl.

    My thoughts, too. It's a good idea.
    Not banned permanently. But suspended for a week.

    Keep the threads going.
    Ban the bad guys, but only for a week.
    Repeat as necessary. See who adapts ... and who doesn't.
