The chickens are now coming home to roost for us on targeted assassinations. The
drone style killings have negated our ability to claim moral superiority to Russia.

That's what I find so ridiculous. If you're going to rig an election, rig it with 70 percent of the vote or a number that's believable.

Hell, it's been like that most of my lifetime. When I was in school, we'd always hear how bad the Russian/Soviet government was and what a terrible place it was to live. Then the US government would turn around and do the same things and we'd make excuses for it.

Putin is contradicting himself, too. He complained loudly about Kosovo. Yet he cites Kosovo in justifying Russia's annexation of Crimea. Russia has not recognized Kosovo. So I guess by Putin's logic, Russia is now going to recognize Kosovo? I'm not going to hold my breath.

That's a good point, obviously. Everyone acts in his interest, regardless of whether the actions are consistent. Sucks to be human sometimes.

However, NATO used lethal force in Kosovo, killing hundreds. Not a shot has been fired in Crimea.

And remember, Crimea WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE separated from the Kremlin. When Ukraine native Khruschev "gave" Crimea to the Soviet republic of Ukraine, it was all under the Soviet umbrella anyway, with no thought that one day the republics would break away.

It wasn't like Ukraine fought for Crimea or had any ties to it in any way beforehand. It was just handed to them as a paper formality.

I do wish, however, politicians could have a consistent policy, instead of a "what's good for us is good, period" policy.

If I was Putin, I would just keep bringing up Afghanistan. Russia fought the rebels. The U.S. backed them (for no other reason than the evil Russkies were fighting them) . . . then we fought them 20 years later, claiming to be the good guys. Only one inconsistency at play there. And its ours.

Ukraine Officer Shot Dead In Simferopol, Crimea

KIEV, March 18 (Reuters) - A Ukrainian serviceman was killed on Tuesday at a Ukrainian base that came under attack in Crimea's main town Simferopol, the first death on the peninsula from a military clash since the region came under Russian control three weeks ago.

Tell that to the 59 precincts in Philadelphia and the 9 in Cleveland where Romney got zero -- yes, absolutely zero -- votes in 2012.

Mitt would've gotten at least 2 votes had he photo-op'd eating a Geno's.

OR all these Utah precincts where Romney got 80-90+ of the vote. Obiously ridiculous.

So you are comparing a Mormon getting 80-90 percent of the votes in Utah to Obama getting EVERY SINGLE VOTE in numerous precincts in Philliy and Cleveland? Does this not look strange...the final vote tallies for certain precincts in Cuyahoga County? In these final tallies of of Cuyahoga County precincts, Mitt Romney received exactly zero votes in each instance…

If it's for "the cause," fraud is completely OK for some people.
