I stumbled across this beauty of an e-mail today ...

I am writing on behalf of my 8 year old son, (deleted name).

He thinks (& I agree) that he has a great idea for a feature article.
I hope you will read on & give his efforts at community outreach consideration for inclusion in The Trentonian.

Jack has always loved music & has taken to trying to learn as many instruments as possible. For his birthday he invited various older musicians to join him to play some songs for his friends & family

That musical venture was such a success that he very much wanted to do it again, but also wanted to do it in the form of community service of some sort.
He himself decided to hold a concert in support of, & as a fundraiser for, Barack Obama.
I think he may be one of the youngest fundraisers out there, as well as one of the youngest kids to ever hold his own concert.

I think either alone would make a great article, but coupled together makes for something I'm sure your readers would like to know about!

Please consider writing this up & help make Jack's hard work & creative effort worth it. Please allow the community the chance to know about this wonderful concert & come out & support a talented boy's efforts to make a difference.
He is doing this for dual purposes, both of which are equally important to him- he desperately wants his music to be heard but he also wants to make a difference in our great nation, using whatever resources he can muster.

I think this is a really wonderful, positive story that would interest your readers greatly.
The concert itself is Saturday 23 August @ 12noon.
I have attached a flyer so you can see any & all pertinent details.

    + + + + +

Love the "he himself" line ...

On July 25, 1978, Louise Joy Brown, the world's first successful "test-tube" baby was born in Great Britain. Though the technology that made her conception possible was heralded as a triumph in medicine and science, it also caused many to consider the possibilities of future ill-use.
