Agreed on Fullerton. At least they were competitive in the CWS in going 0-2. Heard anything about CSF recruits?

 

Best unis of the field have got to go to UNC's black and powder blue unis they sported today. Worst go to the ASU throwbacks they're wearing against UCI. But I appreciate the shoutout to the Barry Bonds era.

 

This UCI-ASU game has been great - It would be pretty sweet to see Major League baseball adopt a similar format for its World Series - I know it won't happen but I'm pretty sure it would improve the ratings.

 

At least one more game for the Anteaters.

 

That's funny, cause when I saw those UNC jerseys I thought they were horrible. I don't like colored side patches. As for UCI...holy crow. What a game.

LA Times writer Peter Yoon may come off as Nostradamus. At the Fullerton-UCLA super regional, he said the way Irvine is playing that they may win it all.

 

Listening to the Eaters' post-game presser on CSTV, you get a sense, too, that Serrano has his guys ready for Oregon State and a hopefully long weekend in Omaha.

Pretty impressive that UCI has knocked off Texas, Wichita State, CSF and now Arizona State among the biggies in this postseason.

Gotta say I never liked Orel Hershiser as a player, mainly for his goody-two-shoes Dodger image, but I've been really impressed with his work at the CWS. The rest of the crew, Patrick, Thorne and Larkin and the devine Miss A have also been great. Of all the sports, I think a sideline reporter works best in baseball.

And UCI is wearing their "Eaters" blue jerseys, OSU sporting the white Beavers across their chests.
