Obviously, this guy didn't cause anybody to miss deadline. But what if a player or coach had reacted negatively to his ridiculousness and either stormed off or became monosyllabic - or, like, more monosyllabic than usual?

This wasn't the end of the world. But let in unpredictable clowns and you're vulnerable to unpredictable (aka bad) outcomes.
