I found the scene funny, and I think that most of the players/coaches involved know it's a crack-pot deal and just move on. Watch some of the others. I love the Vince Young...
1920's : Champ! Champ! blah, blah, blah
VY: What's with the Champ stuff..... blah blah
If it wastes your time, it's only about 30-45 seconds, and if you calculate your deadline time to that much of a fraction of a second, you could stick coal up your ass and squeeze out a diamond.

I think some of us take ourselves too seriously. we're covering games, that's it. I thought the questions were hysterical. no harm no foul, as they say.

Exactly. It just makes the players and coaches -- and hell, any of the fans who watch -- think we're even bigger idiots.

So where do we chip in for the "Put Luggy in a corset and send her to a Pats presser" fund?

Anyone remember David Letterman sending the kid out to the World Series in the mid-90s and causing chaos?

There was also the time, I believe, when Arsenio Hall went to a Lakers presser and asked Kobe Bryant "Who gets double-teamed more, Shaq or Jenna Jameson?"

Both instances were disruptive to us. And I found both to be fucking hysterical.

How 'bout we put Luggy in a corset and send her to my place? ;)

I waffle on this issue. I'm not a stick in the mud by any means. And truth be told, watching this stuff on YouTube, I'm highly amused.

On the other hand, don't you think this demeans our profession? Even a little bit? I mean, most of the people we cover already think we're chuckleheads. Why give them more ammo?

I think "Talk about how xxx did xxx tonight" makes us look even worse.

I think Mr. Lugs would put you in a corset.

Not that there's anything wrong with that.
