Then, the doctor told me that BOTH my eyes were lazy! And that's why it was the best summer ever. [/ralphwiggim]

It conveys more information than the original post did, Gold.

So does this obscure fact that everyone on this site knows: Randy Moffitt = Billie Jean King's brother.

There. Tried to put some perspective into this runaway carousel of a thread.

They tell you about the attendance but they never say which is the home team.

Shea Seals is trying to tell us something here.

Clearly, Toronto was the home team ... the "centre" fielder, the balls hit to "centre" means it's written for a Toronto audience, and a Jays writer wouldn't include comparative attendance statistics from Texas.

    I think.

    HAHAHAHAHA!!!

"And when the doctor said I didn't have worms any more, that was the happiest day of my life."
Mrs. Hoover: "Thank you, Ralph, very graphic."

"And my doctor said I wouldn't have so many nose-bleeds if I kept my finger out of there."

You're right. You could also have deduced it from the fact that there were only quotes from Toronto players. And Kevin Boland covered the Jays for a long time. I forget who he wrote for but he co-wrote Dave Stieb's autobiography, the aptly titled "Tomorrow I'll Be Perfect."
