When a team's quarterback sets NFL records in back to back weeks, it's liable to have won those games.

The Steelers look really, really good. It's not like those wins have come over easy teams.

The Niners are done. Kaepernick sucks ass.

It's fair now to ask the question on whether The 49ers would have been
    better off with Alex Smith.

It's fair to now ask why quarterbacks coached by a Harbaugh feel the need to call a timeout in the first 4 minutes of a game. Both of them did yesterday though to be fair I couldn't tell if Flacco called timeout on the first drive or if it was an official's timeout.

With Kaepernick it can become a drinking game -- take a shot every time the play clock gets down to 3 or less. You'd be drunk well before the 2nd quarter.

Listening to the radio last night, I swear I heard Kaepernick say, "I falled on it" in response to a postgame question about the fumble.

He just needs to get into the playoffs against the Packers and he'll be fine.

  6. Last night, they looked consistently good - as in they strung together three good games of play.
That's the best the defense has looked this year.
I worry last night may be the highwater mark for Harrison. He looked great. Hope he has about 10 more games like that left in him.

Amazing the Ravens are now in last place in the division.

They're not going to the playoffs. They'll be 4-5 after Sunday's trip to New Orleans and they haven't played the Seahawks once yet.

It's amazing how quietly they've done it. I watched all of that game yesterday and I know Weeden was starting, but being able to almost completely take two an elite receiver and another really good one out of the game was really impressive.

Palmer is playing great. Ellington is really solid and versatile. The receivers are good enough that there are plenty of good options if a team puts their best corner on Fitzgerald.

The End of the Harbaugh era should be fun.

Re: the Cardinals, the Bears chose Trestman over Arians. Ouch.

A lot of teams passed on Arians because he's older, and he's really not that old. The guy was coming off winning Coach of the Year as an interim coach in Indy and quite a few teams were lukewarm on him. Most are regretting that now.

Who knows, if Arians was in Chicago, he might be ready to open his wrists after dealing with Cutler.

I just don't get the insistence on so many teams to throw the fades when they're at the 1 or 2-yard line.

Also think that we are at the point where, if the play clock is running down, you take the damn five yard penalty. In 2014, will there be a fan, talk-show host or columnist who says, "the 49ers should have stayed at 2nd and 3 instead of 2nd at 8 four series ago back at midfield in the 3rd quarter? We don't need that timeout now."

I know it's engrained from grade-school football but, in a league where yards and points are cheap, eat the damn five yards and save your time out.

Watching Kaepernick manage the play clock is like watching a dyslexic kid play Chutes and Ladders.
