It would be more Mizzouier with some names sprinkled in.

Yeah, I'm bragging about doing shitty preview boxes and interviewing for a job I never had any chance of getting...

    (One) moral of the story:

Any scenario that involves an attractive female on the Internet cannot be vetted thoroughly enough, and your default position, whether you are a high level editor or partial owner of a parody Willie Wonka Twitter account, should be: Is this a scam?

Guess in this age of 140 characters and clicking instead of going to store/mailbox to get a magazine it's rare when 'What's the story here?' pops into your head. Combination of ESPN reference in hed and good writing kept me going. It did have a screenplay feel to it.

This is a great point. It just blows my mind that ESPN would hire someone to write for Page 2 without ever meeting them in person if no one else there had ever met her.

Which sucks for the actual female professionals out there.

I million parody Twitter accounts is cool.

Know what's cooler? A billion parody accounts.

The Holy Grail for ESPN or SI.com or CBS Sports would be to find an attractive female who follows sports the way Bill Simmons does.

Do you mean to write "1 million parody accounts"?

I can't wait for the ESPN ombud from Poynter to write about this.

Did anybody see the documentary Catfish? I'm getting a similar vibe from this story. Perhaps there will be a similar ending.
