Deadspin: Manti Te'o's dead girlfriend story was a hoax

No way was he not in on this...

Why do it? Maybe, as someone else mentioned, he's trying to cover up another relationship. Maybe he was trying to build on his own legend at Notre Dame. Maybe he's a sociopath.

 

At this point, the explanation that Te'o was a charlatan speaks better of him than the other explanations, in which not only is he a fool, he's a seriously emotionally damaged fool.

If I'm a NFL team, I don't touch this guy in the first round.

 

It's funny Mizzou. If the guy had a drug bust or a couple of bar fights on his resume, NFL teams wouldn't blink if they thought he could play. But this is downright weird, and the NFL has no facility for dealing with weird.

 

Except for guys like Janorris Jenkins. And a million others who had first-round talent, but got drafted in later rounds.

 

Decided schematic advantage. Both with Te'o and Weis.
