You certain about that or are you sharing your OPINION?

Because I don't see the two-headed monster in Milwaukee (McGinn and Silverstein) being too concerned about pissing off the Packers or their fans.

More than anything, they've always struck me as guys who don't really care what players or coaches do off the field as long as it doesn't affect their performance on the field.

I know coaches who step out on their wives or significant others and I've never written about it. I'm not the morality police.

However, if I hear of a coach who stays out all hours the night before the game (with his wife) and gets so drunk he can't do his job the next day, now that's something I'd address.

I'm not interested in what they do off the field -- unless it's illegal, affects their job performance or breaks league rules.

I actually do a very good job of that, but you could probably help with the laundry if you want to stop by. It's the chore that never ends.

Wait, wait, wait. Someone asked why Deadspin would burn Sterger on this? I could be totally wrong, but what has Jen Sterger ever done to make you think she WOULDN'T capitalize on this?

That's what I was getting at earlier, Elliotte.

One of them has been knocked up and had a kid out of wedlock. I'm guessing this is par for the course.

Athletes trolling via text is not new. Joe D once texted this photo to Marilyn Monroe:

It don't know if the dong photos are real or not, but if the voice mail messages are fake, then somebody does a damn good impression of Favre.

I can't wait for the ESPN ombudsman to write about this and the coverage of it. After all, the poor guy hasn't had anything to write about for 11 weeks now.

Stephen A. Smith Doesn’t Want Deadspin to Report on Favre

    Stop the presses! [IMG]

Screamin' A doesn’t want Deadspin and others to report about Brett Favre’s pursuit of former Jets sideline reporter, Jenn Sterger, because “it just ain’t right”.

    Oh, fo rizzle?!?!

Smith sent several tweets this morning, few of which made sense. His logic is that Deadspin shouldn’t have reported Favre’s alleged voicemails or photos because, “we’ve all chased honies”.

I’ll let you read his tweets below and then give you my take on it after the jump:

'Just finished commenting about Favre and I’m about to do it again. Let me say this: We can get on Favre about his play, his avoiding training camp, and this nauseating love affair some in the media have with him. But to report on him trying to get with some girl is just wrong. More importantly, it’s none of our damn business. What’s more, it epitomizes why athletes hate the media. You don’t dime out the dude like this. Especially if you’re a dude — b/c we all know we’ve chased honies from time-to-time in our lives. It’s hypocritical. And for those who’d compare this to Tiger, STOP IT RIGHT NOW! Tiger was an issue because a police report was filed following his car accident and the belief surrounding why it occurred. That’s not the case with Favre. It’s messed up. And although I respect Deadspin, they’re wrong here. You just don’t do this. It just ain’t right.' http://www.thefyisportsblog.com/2010/10/stephen-a-smith-doesnt-want-deadspin-to-report-on-favre/

Favre doesn't seem to be getting any wiggle room.
