That is my point, though. Where is the sexual harassment claim? If there is one, you're right, they can't look the other way. If Jenn Sterger and the masseusses suddenly have no idea what anyone is talking about, it's not such a big deal.

There have been a lot of analogies to the Big Ben case because he was suspended without facing any formal allegations. But that police report was a doozy and forced Goodell's hand. To date there is nothing even remotely similar with Favre.

 

I wonder if Rusty Hardin is available?

 

My theory is that if this is in fact Favre, he was starting to sense his age and this was a way for him to feel a little more virile - why not attempt to work your old-man mojo on a hot 20-something?

I just had a thought.

His elbow is bothering him. He's had injections according to Judd Zulgad at the Strib. He missed preseason games as a Packer because of elbow problems.

A fast-tracked suspension of 1-3 games allows him to rest the elbow and ankle while the rest of the NFC North collapses, and then he comes back to lead the Vikings in to playoff contention.

 

For calling Matt Millen and telling him how to gameplan for the Packers. Goodell can sweep that shit aside or Minnesota tampering claims. He can't do that with this.

 

Where's the claim? If Sterger turned over the photos and voice mail to the Jets, that's exactly what it is... sexual harassment.

 

Back to the actual topic of the thread, if the pics and messages turn out to be legit ('the smoking penis' : ), given the Roethlisberger precedent, Favre needs to be sat down for a couple games.

If it turns out to be indicative of a pattern of continuing sexual harassment, make it more.
