Deadspin posts the Favre pics. Ugh.

    I figure she'll net between $3-$5 million.

I hope Daulerio gets a cut.

If a favre falls in the forest and Deadspin isn't there to report it, does it make a sound?

But does anyone else have a queasiness about the sourcing here? '...the Pioneer Press has learned....' What does that even mean?

It means the Pioneer-Press is taking a page out of the ESPN Book of Sourcing

Wait. You're not saying Deadspin deserves a "cut" are you?

Of course not. Pretty sure Mizzou was being sarcastic. But the fact remains, if Deadspin doesn't go public, she's not pursuing this alleged settlement.

But back to the source of this new story: Neither Favre nor Sterger would look good in the case of a private settlement and gag order. So who else would know about this or have interest in tipping off a newspaper?

Deadspins paid for the orginal story, right?

I'd like to know who cashed that check, too.

Be ironic if this ended up in a "gag order"

Lots of entities will for sure be "wrangling" in this one.

I was being sarcastic, but as 21 pointed out, no Deadspin article, no multi-million dollar payout for Sterger.

From what I've read Gawker Media pays bonuses based on page views, so I would guess folks at Deadspin are seeing an increase in their paychecks from this story.

I'd like to know who Deadspin paid for the original story.

Now that Favre has admitted sending voicemails (but denies sending pics) what does that do to any potential settlement between he and Sterger? Why didn't he propose a settelement sooner and just make it all go away? No way he goes through the discovery process, so why not settle asap?

The game tonight will be interesting on a couple of different levels. Looking forward to the crowd shots and the signs.

In all this has anyone remembered to point out that Woody Johnson is an inbred dipshit who can't tell shit from shinola? No? OK, just checking.
