    Dear "Concerned Parent" Football Mom,

You can try to send me a lengthy anonymous email, but it didn't help your case that your gmail address showed up in my outlook express.

And if your kid -- who was your school's feature in our preseason tab and had been a go-to interview three other times this year -- quits in the middle of a road game, you're no longer a concerned football parent. You're a parent of a former player.

Furthermore, you're lucky that I didn't identify him in the game story that appeared in our paper as well as a sister paper (team was played between a team in my coverage area and a team in sister paper's coverage area).

That being said, your school was going to suck this year no matter who the coach was or is. You can rip the new coach all you want, but coincidentally, you never ripped the coach when he was singing your son's praises in a few interviews.

Enjoy having your lazy, quitting, con-man son hanging around the house. Apparently he couldn't help that horrible football team (not program, school has a proud history for a small school). Maybe he can help you with dusting.

Where do you think the kid gets that mentality from.
When something doesn't go your way, gripe and moan about it, says mom. Geesh.

    Dear local parent,
Wednesday was your second home game of the season and the fifth game of the year, so I really appreciated when I told you where I was from, you said, "Oh, do you mean The Local Catholic School Times?"
And you're right; your perception about how many times we've covered the local private school is definitely stronger than the facts i offered you, facts you told me you disagreed with because you "didn't think so." It was also nice of you to threaten me by calling our paper's editor who, coincidentally enough, isn't my boss, and when I told him about our encounter, he laughed because he knows you're an asshole.
Fortunately for you, prior to the game the coach couldn't stop talking about how great our paper's been to the team the last two seasons, so I have no problem covering the team. Just don't be shocked when you don't see pictures of your kid anywhere (provided she doesn't do anything worthy of a photo).
    Sincerely,
    Rhody

Ya know if Local Catholic School wasn't so good at every sport, then she'd probably have a point.

Checked our paper's Facebook page today - guess who gave us a like?
Dimwitted parent who insulted us. Is there a way I can block him from our content?

Why would you want to do that? If anything, you should put every picture of Local Catholic School up there on a daily basis. :)

Let her stay ... maybe she'll make a post or two and show the world what a dimwit she is.

I think it's obvious to everyone that Rhody went to Local Catholic School growing up.

Not limited to your state. The school Rhody alludes to gets blasted with that all the time. So do schools in every state I have worked in.
