    The last time I knocked bowling on this thread, I was struck down. Have tried to keep the conversation out of the gutter ever since, but, this is SportsJournalists.com ...

    We had a girl at one of the schools in the smallest classification. She was the leading scorer/rebounder/everything for the girls basketball team, then after the game she would freshen up, switch unis and be the head cheerleader for the boys game.

    Much as I hate cheerleading, that sounds like a pretty cool story.

    When I was in school, more than half our cheerleaders played basketball. Wasn't much cheering during girls games. Of course, only 115 people were in our HS.

    It's pretty common around here. At some of the really small schools, the girls' game has three cheerleaders but the boys' game will have 8 or 10. I've seen girls on the dance team perform in their basketball uniforms between games because they didn't have time to change.
