Star Wars: those people on Alderaan are still dead and the guy who runs toschi station is still waiting on that skywalker kid to come get those power converters.

Goonies: those kids are still stuck living in Oregon.

jaws: did quint have a family? Heirs? The probate would have been a mess. (Side note: jaws 2 does hint that the town’s tourism industry has been hindered.

jaws 3: sea world was destroyed despite the two dolphins high fiving at the end.

greatest story ever told: Christianity turns out to be really shitty.

John Hughes' Brat Pack movies. The geek stands alone in Sixteen Candles (Duckie) and The Breakfast Club (Brian.) I preferred Savage Steve Holland's oeuvre anyway.

Ferris gets love from his family. Cameron gets the shit beat out of him by his dad.

Cameron said he was going to stand up to his dad. So maybe he snapped and stabbed his dad 37 times with a butcher knife.

A good question to ask Alan Ruck if he's ever on a podcast or a late-night talk show. He's great in Succession.

"Urban Cowboy." Debra Winger can do a lot better than John Travolta.

Happy to see that she later upgraded to Richard Gere. Although she was saddled with Jeff Daniels next.

Best of all, though, in real life she's ended up with Cowboy from "Full Metal Jacket." Attaway, Arliss!

Field Of Dreams … build it, Ray, and you can get rich quick commercializing and exploiting everyone’s memories!

Fuck that film so goddamn hard.

    Well tanks for nuttin!

Something I never quite got. Cameron snapped when he saw the mileage after the garage guys took the Ferrari out for a spin. OK, they shouldn't have done it, it has some extra miles, but. . . .

they were driving into the city anyway and were planning on running the wheels backward to take off that mileage. So what if they had to take off a few more miles.***

***discounting, of course, that at the time they thought the miles would come off with the wheels in reverse.

Do we really know the Wicked Witch was so bad before Dorothy dropped a house on her? All we have are the words of a few people who encourage Dorothy to kill again as well as steal a priceless family heirloom.
