    Incredibly stupid of her.

She's only made the situation worse.

She's cooked. She's done. She won't survive any of this. Even though she has nothing to do with the shooting, her general nastiness and her distasteful response are something that people aren't going to find appealing any longer after this. I know we usually bounce back to shouting at each other pretty quickly after 9/11 and other tragic events, so I'm cynical about whether this will be any different in the long-term, but I think that, for now, Americans have lost their taste for the Palin circus sideshow.

Reminds me of my high school newspaper days, when one of our columnists wrote a sarcastic piece about county administrators and, in attempting to be dismissive of their efforts, referred to their making "conjugal visits" to the school.

Reminds me of it, but, you know, much worse.

I think Sarah Palin may actually be a Golem. A kinda curvy one, but a Golem.

I'm sure she'll refudiate the gaffe later this morning.

Palin -- and her family -- was unfairly treated by the many during and after the campaign, but now she seems to embrace this victim mentality to a degree that's unhealthy.

Fighting back against unfair charges is fine, but she constantly goes too far and makes it all about herself.

I don't think she's smart enough to seek counsel from good communications specialists. She really needs it, but I think she's grown distrustful of media advisors and their loyalties.
