I'm stunned by this "blood libel" business. Not Palin, but that several pundits have thrown it around. The use of that phrase had to have been intentional.

Maybe there was some copy cat use, but I don't think there was some conspiracy to use it or that it was poll tested.

    It's too dumb.

I thin too many people didn't know what it meant and just assumed it was related to blood thirsty or something like that.

LAT talks to his high school ex-girlfriend. He was just a doll then.

It's like some double agent wormed his/her way into that circle, dropped that bomb and scampered back to the bosom of the delighted liberals.

MSNBC just said that the AP is reporting that he was pulled over Saturday morning for running a red light.

Don't know if it has been mentioned yet, but Gifford's surgeon spent 24 years as a Navy surgeon, including several years in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He sheds an interesting light on the whole situation in this LAT story.

Yeah, I mentioned that a couple of days ago.

He seems like a pretty incredible guy and she's very lucky to have him on her team.

It's not a big deal, but JR said that, not me.

Did the University of Arizona's trauma center have a reputation as an elite trauma center before this?

It sounds like they were very highly qualified to handle something like this.

According to Dr Rhee it does not sound like there was much in the trauma biz before this:

"Tucson is actually, for a trauma surgeon, very embarrassing and pathetic because violence is almost nonexistent," he said. "I know everyone in the country thinks World War III is going on in Arizona, but it's probably still the nicest place I can think of to live."
