Every time she speaks it reminds me of the great Kevin Spacey line from the movie The Ref:

"You know what I'm going to get you next Christmas, Mom? A big wooden cross, so that every time you feel unappreciated for your sacrifices, you can climb on up and nail yourself to it."

Because, of course, anti-Semitic slurs used in reference to a critically-injured shooting victim, who happens to be Jewish, are nothing to get upset about.

    Scrub scrub scrub.

If Sarah had used the phrase "red cell slander" we could have avoided all this unpleasantness.

I am reminded of Bin Laden pronouncements from his cave.

I wonder if they show Palin on the al jaras network.

Maybe Osama will offer comment on the shooting.

    Seriously?

A part of me is relieved that they won't be at the funeral, but giving them the microphone isn't exactly a good thing either. If I were the station manager at one of these places, I would abruptly cancel the interviews just as they were about to hit the air. Give these jerks a little bit of what they dish out for once.

Canada has hate speech laws. Wouldn't it be sweet if they could be busted for contravening those? A girl can dream, can't she.

Now they get to sue you, cost your station financially, and they get all the publicity that will come from the incident. Sounds like they got exactly what they wanted out of that deal.

  8. On what grounds could they sue? Talk-show guests who get bumped don't normally do so.

I guess you can defend it, if you're here, by saying that "blood libel" is now a generic term for any kind of awful libel against a person or group. That's certainly how the WSJ story used it.

Kind of like "kleenex" is used for brands of tissue other than Kleenex in everyday speech.

There is no right to be on the radio, in either the U.S. or Canada.
