Gues#t - a belated thank you for your service during a very difficult time. You showed a lot of courage to stand up for what you believed was a just cause at a time when many were against you. Know that I and many others view those of you who served in the military at that time as heroes - always will.

Seems to be a lot of "ignorance of history" in the past few week.

I think if I ran into Ayers at a party I would spit on him.

Probably a little too soon for him to be attending a political rally.

Let me know when the "fringe element" of the Tea Party blows up any government buildings, as Ayers and his buddies did.

Urge those ignorant of history to read the Weatherman manefesto when they declared war on the United States. Then decide if they should be termed a "fringe group"

If you actually look at the photos, it is cops doing all the ass-beating.

However many of the crowd are actually members of the Weathermen, they are mainly assaulting cops' batons with their skulls.

Thanks for kind words, Boom. I'm no hero, although I was privileged to serve with a couple--in my estimation--and as anyone who has read my comments knows, I'm also no genius. (I knew a genius once too, but that's a story for another time.)

We did what we did, and we took our licks. I'm glad the general climate is better for the ones who serve these days.

I can see her husband dancing a jig but she is probably more apt to dance an energetic havana guila.

Yes because the Weathermen had the same political influence as the Tea Party.

    You guys are reaching big-time.

For those of you who think the Weathermen are comparable to the Tea Party, how many politicians were voted into office on a Weathermen ticket?

    The correct answer is zero.

The other correct answer is "how many bombs have the Tea Party set."

No. That has nothing to do with my point, but nice try on the dodge.

No Weathermen ever held political office in this country.

Attempt to revise history all you like, righties. Keep saying "Bill Ayres!" as some sort of breathless incantation, as if one man from 40 years ago equals an entire movement that owes its relevance to the coalescence of being against Obama.

And also keep trying to say their violent rhetoric is tied to some horseshit bloodline to the original patriotic movement.

Keep trying. But know that most people with a half-a-brain on both sides of the political spectrum know you're all full of shit.

No Tea Party member ever declared war on the USA.

No Tea party member ever blew up a Federal Bldg.

No Tea Party member ever mad the FBI most wanted list.

Sure no member of Weatherman group held political office but in terms of influencing politics of that era the tea party is not even close.

Bubbler you are wildly misinformed on this topic.

Just so I have a reference point how old were you in late 60's ?
