I don't think anyone would have to observe anything for years in order to determine that "the other side does it, too" is not a legitimate defense.

Some posts on this thread have been very insightful. Some posts on this thread have been hateful. I'm still trying to figure out how the whole topic of political hate speech and incitement even became an issue at this point. WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHY THIS ASSHOLE MURDERED PEOPLE. If people want to debate gun control, fine. Political rhetoric as it relates to this case - premature.
