Pretty sure something along these lines came up when this was full steam, but he likely knew this was a road he was taking when he decided to go full celebration mode, post it to the whole world and then not give two shits what anyone thought.

He has done this job long enough to have some standards in this regard, or at least know what those standards are. He knew he was moving on when he did this. I would bet on it. That way he could eventually say, see, it doesn't matter that I acted dumb.

Agree. And the bleeding at the Post continues. That's three sports writers this month.

I know about Chambers and O'Halloran. Who is the third?

Kyle Fredrickson. GA sports reporter. Did preps, filled in on the big beats. Went to be the Avalanche beat writer for the Colorado Springs and Denver Gazettes.

I had noticed that Fredrickson was had been the Broncos number two guy last season and it now appears that Kyle Samuelson is the now the number two guy on both the Broncos and the Rockies. Do you know if the Post going to replace all three or will I just get less content for my monthly subscription?

The Broncos job has been advertised.

Haven't seen Kyle's job posted yet. Sports editor at Boulder (under the Alden umbrella) is leaving in the coming days.

You can either be a Cup holder or an athletic supporter. There's no room for both in this business.

A year or two before I got to my alma mater, the newspaper ran a story on the school's booster club. They were kind of dorky (at the time, none of us realized irony and the reality we were in no position to call anyone else kind of dorky) so the headline was "Such-and-such club are true athletic supporters." It still makes me laugh. :D
