    Stunning. In a bad way.

Within an hour or two of the beginning of the thread here yesterday, the blog post in question was taken down. One assumes the assistant principal hit the 'rescind' button. THE BLOG POST WAS VERY, VERY ANGRY, THOUGH, I CAN ASSURE YOU.

From what I gathered, he posted an apology and then that was taken down too. I did find the whole thing though, for those who missed it. It's an image so just expanded it when it's finished loading to read it.

No way should a newspaper allow that under its imprimateur, even if it is a blog. How embarrassing.

Absolutely true, even though I agree with the post itself.

    Bob, great points.

  8. Why in the hell would you take it down?
Some serious chickenshit going on here.

  10. He manages to come off more self-important than Pantload Berman. Amazing.

Apparently the apology wasn't really an apology. This is where I've getting most of the info from:

    Dater discusses his non-apology here:

"The one thing I do regret is naming individual names at ESPN. I just ticked off some names of reporters off the top of my head at that moment. I was trying to criticize in the collective sense, not the individual, so naming any names was dumb and I am sorry for that."

So there was no disciplinary action at all for this? I hope he doesn't get suspended or fired, but it wouldn't surprise me if he did...
