What if the hopes aren't empty? Have you read his stuff? He can write some, and he SHOULD write for somebody.

(And my apologizes for the shoe line; bad shot.)

Thanks Nero - better head back to the safety of your little club where it's all happy happy.

You're out of your element here. Stay with the elementary topics.

I doubt hb would want your two cents on this thread, either.

I have read his work, but that's beside the point.

There are people who struggle in any business, and they deal with it in a way that preserves their happiness and mental health. Hockeybeat by his own admission has a problem with this. He posted here asking for advice.

It's not our place to analyze his career and depression. But he has discussed it repeatedly, on the board and privately with many concerned members here. Something isn't working for him, and after so many years of being so deeply unhappy, it's completely reasonable to wonder if there's something else he can get excited about.

You have to remember - shotglass considers straight AP copy good writing.

I'm with shot. I'd rather folks stay in the business until their jobs are eliminated rather than get out and be happy and all.

If you were talking about a specific person, I apologize.

But it seemed like you were saying that counseling someone unhappy who got out of the business and is making more money is somehow depressing or an attack on the business or something.

Yeah, you and boom seem to have the same problem at the same time.
