If it makes you feel any better, that Redskins page is done by me and only me, one of a staff of seven.

For starters, what paper is this?

I absolutely love the centerpiece. The only thing I didn't like was "THE RIVALRY" that is in two different colors.

The rest of the page, wow. You look at the centerpiece and I immediately think this designer is a pro. The bottom half looks thrown together. It's a clean looking paper, I'll definitely say that.

Don't see why the Lions story and Colts stand-alone couldn't be shoved to the bottom. And I know breakouts are passe, but that Bucks story needs something man.

I think they wanted to keep the NFL stories together.

I liked the Colts standalone, though I think that photo could have been cropped tighter.

I lurve me Sam Manchester in Milwaukee (he did the "Unbearable Reality" page), but I'll have to agree that the page is top-heavy. A strip-story, perhaps the Mariucci piece, would have helped balance it out.

Eh. I say if you've got a MAIN story, make it lead the page. Why split the reader's attention above the fold when none of those other stories seem particularly special or worth being above the fold.

    From the Seattle P-T:

    My initial thoughts:

I think this is a great centerpiece. I only have a few nitpicks with the type in the headline, but overall this is something that really (to me) pops. The illustration is great and you still get a very good start for the story on the cover.

As for the rest of the page - I worry that the right column is too small and I am not a fan of the black rev boxes like the one in the top story the has the score.

    Thoughts?

Very nice centerpiece. Those skyboxes are way too big and unattractive.
