re drive charts: Why, if these things are so comatose, does the AP continue to make them their main graphic contribution on Super Bowl Sunday year after year?

Creating that white swath just so the hed could be black didn't work, IMO. And the hed itself....ew

It probably looks different in print, but the white banner with the headline looks like its cutting his legs from his body.

But it's a clean page.

Crotch shot comes to mind ... right over the word, 'Good'.

The photo almost appears as if it could go either way. He could be dejected, he could be celebrating?!

I don't mind the white bar as an idea, but it gets too heavy in the middle. You need to be able to see the picture more through it.

And yeah, the word "Good" over his crotch is not, umm, good. Esp. the "oo" where it is.

Drive charts: Bad.

Dyergrams: Priceless.

What are Dyergrams, you ask? A drive chart . . . with personality.

Something I grew up reading every Sunday morning during college football season and that I still miss to this day.
