The helmet from logoshack seems to be a better color (at least on my monitor):

I get a red X when I try to show it here, but just go to logoshack.com and look for Washington Redskins Helmet.

Wow, I just made it through all 68 pages of this great thread and got quite an education. Threads like this are a major reason why I love this site.

I look forward to chiming in on pages...

OK, wanted to get some thoughts on a doubletruck I just did. It was a look back at the University of Tulsa's 2005 season, which ended in a Liberty Bowl win and the team's first conference title in 20 years.

Be critical. I like these pages a lot, but I'd like to know what it was I did good and what I could do better or should've done different. This was my first doubletruck, so any tips for future ones would be much appreciated. Thanks.

    So, here it is:

the only thing I had an issue with was the header "2005 University of Tulsa Football"

maybe it's the screen, but it seemed a little light. I don't know what shade that is, but i would have used like 60-70%

and maybe stretched across the entire double truck instead of just over the hed.

I might have switched around some of the art, but that's just me.

I really liked the placement of the elements ... except for the running back coming down too close to the coach centerpiece shot.

I don't know if the background was agreeable for this, but the left-hand runner shot might have looked even better with the partly-faded background around him.

When I first read that, I thought you were talking about the words. Silly me.

I like the double truck overall. :) Nice work.

Since you only have the lead headline on the left-side of the page, it almost divides the DT, making the right-hand side appear separated from the left. At least the "performances" carried across the DT.

And it's hard to tell, but did you use color text inside the "seasons" rail? And if so, why?

I almost did that, esp. since he was wearing white. the shot was perfect for it, but I decided not to because I was worried about that side of the page taking away from the team shot on the right too much.

I put the losses in red and wins in blue because there were a couple of streaks that I wanted to emphasize a little, and the color kind of brought those out.

I'm probably in the minority, but one little thing bugs me and I'm not really sure why.

The vertical rule on the left side of the team shot ... it just seems odd.
I like all the other rules and I really like the package.

It's just that rule that bugs me. Wish I knew why ...

i keep wanting to see that team pic on the left side ... all the direction in the photo is going that way ... and I agree with Carrie that the rules on the sides of the team photo feel odd here ... mainly, i think, because it feels like the photo should stretch out across the truck (or at least as far as the photo would go). The way that it's stopping now just feels a bit unnatural...

All that said ... overall I really like the page. Good, cleanly organized ... I'm sure Tulsa fans ate up.
