Now, Kwame challenges the governor's authority to remove him (even though it is quite emphatically spelled out in the state constitution).

Conveniently, the case will be heard before the stooge judge who threw out the city council's move to remove him.

He tosses that one, Granholm wins on appeal by 5 p.m. Tuesday... it will be back on quicker than McThug's tether.

No jail time, but pretty hard core stuff short of that. He loses his job, his law license, pays a six-figure penalty, forfeits his benefits and pension and does five years probation, in constant danger of going to jail of he screws up.

I don't know how much money the guy has saved up, but that deal pretty much resets his life to zero with not a lot of options going forward.

Prosecutor says she won't make a deal unless it includes jail time.

If a deal is to be made, it likely occurs before Tuesday, when the judge decides if Granholm has the authority to start removal proceedings.

And yet, makes deal that he won't run for office within two years. This area is so screwed up, however, that he'll run for office again -- and get reelected.
But he wouldn't make this deal if he knew he wasn't guilty as hell. And this doesn't count the charges for pushing the cop.

Nope. That's being prosecuted by the state AG.
The perjury and such is done by the County Prosecutor.
