Kwame just never gets it. He doesn't get that, in this economy, with 25% of people in Detroit out of work, that they just don't like his smart-aleck remarks, like he only has $6 to pay the city, when he's living in a mansion most of them could never think of living in and his wife has plastic surgery, etc. People can barely buy food here so his crying poor act doesn't work. But he'll never get it. He thinks he's the chosen one and that is never going to change until the Feds drop the RICO hammer and he heads to prison for a good long time.

Many Detroiters see Kwame Kilpatrick as "a darker version of (ex-President) Bill Clinton" in a case that continues to divide the city, Kilpatrick's attorneys said in a motion that seeks to postpone the former mayor's probation violation hearing.

The motion was filed Tuesday with the Michigan Court of Appeals by Kilpatrick's attorney Daniel Hajji. It requests that the appellate court hold off Friday's scheduled arraignment in Wayne Circuit Court.

a) throw a coke-and-strippers party at the White House which ended up with one of the strippers dead;

b) strip $9 million of cash out of the federal budget into his own pocket.

"The underlying victim in this case is the City of Detroit," Hajji wrote in his motion. "It always was and it continues to be. The town is divided, with many of the opinion that Mr. Kilpatrick is nothing more than a darker version of Bill Clinton, many of the opinion that he was corrupt, and many of the opinion that this is just another giant fiasco that is accomplishing little more than giving Detroit another black eye."
