This is a good case for people who think justice doesn't apply to rich white people. They're half right.

And another victory for Kwame Kilpatrick. Local television station investigative reporter Steve Wilson is losing his job. He has been in Kwame's face for years.

    Interesting story from 2005

If nothing else, if the justice system on the state and county levels completely eff this up, which they might, at least the feds can nail him with the RICO charges. That's some comfort.

The appeals court judges should get a piece of that RICO action too.

Mayor McThug loses in the state Court of Appeals. The probation violation hearing can proceed.

    Double whammy in 24 hours...
John Conyers wife gets 37 months for bribery after she tried to recant her guilty plea, saying she will be vindicated...

And McThug, trying to get out of paying what he owes, said he'd pay if he could but those darn payments keep getting in the way...

Interesting that if Kwame followed the court order, he'd still pocket $50,000-ish a year.

And he says he can't afford it .... jerk.

Monica is bat-shit crazy. I'm glad the judge gave her that sentence. I wonder, though, if her hubby will pull strings to get her into a country-club prison. He is, after all, the head of the House Judiciary Commmittee.

I'll be curious to see how Kwame and Monica's troubles affect their mommy and hubby, respectively, when they run for re-election in the U.S. House this fall. It's funny that in the last election, Kwame's mommy finished a distant third in the Democratic primary in the suburbs in her district, but won in Detroit and finished first, barely - and those results weren't announced until the wee hours of the morning.

Prosecutors wanted a 48-54 month sentence for the bat-shit crazy woman.

Most experts were saying if she got anything less than three years, she should buy a beer for her lawyer and pay them lots of money.

I guess she only has to pay her lawyer lots of money now, eh? :D

On the news last night some talking head was going on about how Conyers was so bad at bribery that she saved herself from getting serious jailtime.

    What a dumbass woman.

Why would someone as distinguished as John Conyers marry that dingbat? Nothing like knocking up one of your staffers .....

Monithug Conyers erupts in screaming tirade as sentence is announced:

(The story is curiously diplomatic about describing her "agitation" in court: a "screaming tirade" barely begins to describe it.)
