Devils (on way to the playoffs) fire Julien; GM Lamoriello to coach

Something was definitely up with Brodeur. The cameras on Saturday night showed that one of his leg pad straps was not done up at all. How do you miss that if you're a veteran goalie with three Cup rings and completely focused on the task at hand?

 

Vanbiesbrouck was all over that item about the leg pad strap being loose. I remember them going back to it once Brodeur actually figured it out. It took him awhile to realize it. Just another reason to wonder about Brodeur. He did write that book this year. Perhaps he finishes out his current contract and calls it a career. I just hope he's able to pass Roy in just about every category.
