    RB: William Henderson?

    WR: Freddie Solomon?

    I'm just scatter-shooting here.

No, couldn't be Henderson. I'm confusing him with someone that played years before.

If you don't know, just don't guess. Because you'll NEVER get it. I only know because I went wikid it.

Edit: The RB part. I think Solomon is right, as far as other WRs go.

Earl Cooper, No. 49. Or was he moved to TE by that point? I know he scored a TD in that Super Bowl. He's the guy they always show spiking the ball in that one commercial.

Wasn't Wendell Tyler a RB on that team, too?

Cooper was on the team, but was not the leading rusher.
Tyler was the leading rusher for the 84 team, but appears not to have been on the 81 team.

Sheesh, I didn't think Tyler lasted until '84.

I'm thinking it was a white guy, wasn't it?

Very much NOT a white guy.

Cooper, that's who I was thinking of.

Dammit. Then I have no idea. Give up the answer.

    Ricky Patton.

And Freddie Solomon was the 49ers other receiver. He wasn't bad at all.

Wait, you mean Montana wasn't surrounded by 21 other Hall of Famers on the 1981 and 1984 teams?

Yeah, the 1989 and 1990 teams had insane talent, but that wasn't the case for the first two... Roger Craig was pretty good, but he's hardly a Hall of Famer... Ronnie Lott was on the 1984 team, but people act like every receiver Montana ever threw the ball to is in Canton...
