    ???
I wonder if heyabbot can get through one day without bashing Muslims. Hey idiot, if you're gonna do it, do it on your own KKK thread.

    Isn't that what he did?

He did apologize. He did say it was a joke. It didn't go away.

Sometimes these things just reach a critical mass of public awareness. After which they become symbolic, with a momentum of their own. No amount of contrite backpedaling can help thereafter.

As I suggested earlier, if the Rutgers coach, and the players, wind up on the Today Show or GMA in the next couple of days, and this then grows into a national referendum on our collective racial failures, you may see Imus announce his retirement.

I can't believe how much steam this thing gathered over the weekend.

Enough with the pissing match. For the last time my son, I did not call you a bigot. I said your statement was. As for the PM, that was five days ago and it was was not on this subject. Get a clue. Get a life and stop calling people names like prick, blowhard and moron. It would help in your understanding of life. It really would.

    And this just in:
In Washington, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino was asked if President Bush thought Imus’ punishment was strong enough.
“The president believed that the apology was the absolute right thing to do,” Perino said Tuesday. “And beyond that, I think that his employer is going to have to make a decision about any action that they take based on it.”

The reasons why this won't go away...

    1. Imus keeps apologizing...
    2. ESPN is looking for something to fill SportsCenter when not much is going on...

How is that post bashing muslims? I think what HA was trying to show what that there are real problems in the world far more important than how stupid Don Imus is.

If somebody wants to go into the Imus archives, I'm sure they'll find plenty just as offensive or worse comments that he's made over the years.

I can think of a few people who wished you would go away. Son.

He was killing two birds with one stone. He'll find anyway to bash Muslims. I'm not trying to threadjack but.....No, you know what? He's the one threadjacking.
