Excuse me for being the asshole for this post, what part of bullshitting you didn't get, 21?

Other than, as a few of us have already said earlier, the girls at Rutgers need to be left alone. Not get followed around or asked questions about what are they going to say when they see Imus. They need to be left alone. ESPNews spending 25 out of 30 minutes on this is adding fuel to the fire. And to say that 99% of what has been said here is idiotic, maybe you need to read some of the comments again. They are on point and on target with what you have said and Jemele. It's an insult to assume that we get on these boards to say something for the hell of it. We don't.

  2. The only part of this story that interests me now is that it's fish-or-cut-bait time for some of the biggest names in our industry. Do you stand with a man so fundamentally committed to public indecency? Oliphant, Evan Thomas, and Howard Fineman already have flunked this test.
    Timmy?
    Loopy?
Please step this way, pick up your pencils, and begin...

Excuse me, but I didn't say that. Someone else did. Go back and read the posts above.

Trust me, I knew what you meant. It's a shame they have to answer to all this after such a remarkable run.

Rutgers won the national championship? Really?

I just want to say that I'm with those supporting Imus here. He's a good guy. Sharpton is the bad guy.

Also, Jeffrey Dahmer was a victim of circumstance. The real culprit was the A-1 Steak Sauce company.

    See, redirecting blame is fun!

I still haven't heard a good reason why so many political and media types go on his show. But it is funny hearing Tim Russert et. al. suck up to Imus. I guess Imus is the ultimate Cool Kid in the School who, even if he's putting you down, at least it means he knows who you are. The next person to tell Imus on his show that he's full of bs will be the first. I do have a problem with hearing people who are charged with taking others to task for their actions giving Imus a pass on this and every other hurtfull hateful remark.
Hearing the lame Oliphant and Alter explanations why they'll still go on the show was less convincing than the I-man's apology. I guess he NEEDS to make racist remarks IN ORDER to help sick kids.

given that Ms. Hill wrote the column for the internet, she should have provided links to her past columns, full of piss and vinegar, directed at the hip-hop artists that , for the record, offends her.

This bullshit about it's not about Rutgers, it's about all womyn, is totally disingeuous. It's about fucking with an old white guy who said some unfunny and derogatory shit. Where was Rutgers University calling Bob Johnson the richest pimp in America for selling Bootie Enterntainment Television for 3 Billion dollars?

Ms. Hill certainly nails Imus wrinkly old ass to the wall, but since, for the record, she is offended by hip hop artists demeaning women, I look forward to her future columns about the subject. Maybe she and Oprah can open a school for retired video hos.

Why would she write a column about that unless there was a sports angle? She's a sports columnist.

This was a good column. Almost makes me forget the Jordan vs. Kobe garbage. Almost.

This is as much a sports story as Mary Jo Kopechne was about poor car engineering

Why should she have to post past links and write future columns about this subject? As far as I know, she is getting paid to write about sports, which only occasionally would intersect with the world of hip-hop lyrics and treatment of women.

And something makes me quite sure that you would be just as annoyed the next time sports and race and sexism intersects and she rails against some middle-age white guy using derogatory language against black women.

Is there some reason you can only opine on a subject or be offended by offensive behavior if you have a long track record of doing so?

It was me who said it, not 21.

Yeah, sports fans have no interest in it. You've got great editorial judgment.
