"Obama has ruined the economy" doesn't have a lot of citations to go along with it.

I was a little surprised that the NYT put this on A1 today, when it was broken by another newspaper. Usually those kind of campaign news and notes go inside as, well, news and notes.

Obama doesn't have a clue. He does brackets with Andy Katz. He has no leadership. Pee pee, doo doo, a bad president.

    Gov. Meg Whitman wholeheartedly disagrees.

It didn't want the WP to think it was the only paper that could unfairly go after the republican nominee. :D

The NYT is hard at work at it's series on how Mitt wouldn't share his crackers with the other kids in kindergarten.

Ha. Oh, I have no doubt they'll roll out some doozies. Remember the McCain lobbyist story? One of the top five NYT embarrassments of recent memory. But this wasn't exactly a breaking news story that you HAVE TO follow up on when you get beat (like us with a coaching change or a trade). It was a feature that ran in your major competitor. I did not expect it to get that kind of play or have these kind of legs.

At an age when he could legally sign a contract, go to war, or get married, Romney assaulted another student.

Is he a homophobic sadist? No, but to say this "prank" doesn't belong in a 5500-word story of his years at Cranbrook is wrong.

Is the story cooked? Is he being Swift-boated by old enemies? Maybe one day we'll find out.

Romney's camp made sure it had legs. Idiots...

Really? The NYT is nothing if not predictable.

You were on the wrestling team. By joining, you consent to accept their discipline. That's why hazing isn't a parallel here.

Try walking up to a stranger and cutting his hair while your friends hold him down.

I know. That's why I thought it would end up in their campaign blurbs inside, where this kind of stuff usually ends up. As Mizzou references, however, at some point the fact that there was a story in the Washington Post kind of became a story unto itself. So the NYT is almost covering the reaction as much as it's covering the content, if any of that makes sense.
