Why would a black person want to be a Mormon?

That a (possibly) closeted gay man wouldn't mention a(n alleged) humiliation like this to his family is unsurprising.

Why would anyone want to be a Mormon? I mean, no coffee?

Yeah, but they expect their women to be perfect beauties, thus the highest per-capita number of plastic surgeons and gyms are in SLC. #FairTradeOff

If this story was false, Mitt's response would not be the stock "I don't recall" followed by "I'm sorry if I ever offended anybody by my actions."

He would have angrily denounced the story. His response was standard for someone who did what they are accused of doing.

  6. If you've read any of the recent biographies of JFK - you would know that he was nowhere near an angel growing up.

Ted Kennedy at high school age? Well he had not killed anyone yet but the all the signs were there.

Um, we're talking about the Ken Doll, here . . .

    JFK is off the board.

  8. If were are going back 47 years in time - lets go back 47 years in time. Back then it wasn't uncommon for LBJ to whip out his dick in a cabinet meeting. Why not an article in the Post about Democratic Presidents with penis fetishes? What about the guy who claims Obama blew him while they were doing coke? At least he's still alive for others to ask questions to.

Still waiting for Shamity's Film Forum of Grand Revelations.

Not holding my breath for that circus clown to speak up with something real.

  10. Still waiting for Doris Kearns Goodwin to explain if she did have sexual relations with LBJ

The new meme gaining steam with the RWSM is this is all part of a "coordinated strategy" to weaken Willard-Mitt with a "constant drumbeat" of stories painting him as pompous, privileged, pampered, preppy, oblivious, obnoxious, crass, cruel and a silver-spooner completely contemptuous of the "little people."

    And it probably is.

Almost like the "constant drumbeat" about someone being a mooslim kenyan neegro terrorist-appeaser radical homo-sympathizer socialist commie pinko gun-grabbing abortionist anti-Christian, etc etc yadda yadda yack yack blah blah, and that drumbeat's been going on for 7-8 years now (at full roar for the last 4).

Are there any real journalists who post on this site? Why has anyone not pointed out that a story like this isn't written overnight. The Washington Post sent a reporter to Detroit to research and write the story (although my guess is the reporter came back to home base to do the actual writing) and an editor had to do his or her thing to the story. That takes time, people. The Washington Post most likely sat on this story waiting for the "right" time to publish it. And guess what, they choose the day after Obama comes out and says he's all for gay marriage. Sounds like the Washington Post was hoping to give Obama cover, setting up a "see Romney is a gay basher and Obama is enlightened" in case Obama's pronouncement from on high went over like a lead balloon. And journalists are wondering why they are losing their jobs; The American people aren't all dumb asses who take what the mainstream press prints as gospel. The people in flyover country can think for themselves, and they know bullshit when they see it. Who gives a flying fuck what Romney did as a senior in high school nearly five decades ago? Does it reflect on the man he is today? Only if it can be proven he is a gay basher and a bully today. After reading how the one source made up what he told the Post, I call bullshit on the story itself. I know from experience as a journalist holding stories is done all the time. Several years ago I had an exclusive on a professional athlete fucking up bigtime and my editors held it, telling me they'd run it when it would get the most play. Was I pissed? You're damn right I was, insisting it was a good story that should run now. I was over-ruled and have never forgotten the incident.
