Glad to see New Mexico did the right thing and suspended the thug.

Pastor is a fan of Rangers (Scottish Premier League, not NHL or MLB). Blue is Rangers color, so Pastor uses it to show his colors.

I'm guessing I'm like everyone on here and saw only the highlights--not the whole game. I won't defend the New Mexico girl's actions. But as someone who's watched a fair amount of MWC sports and WAC before that, I have to wonder about BYU's role in this. They've got a reputation for playing dirty in other sports. I don't know anything about their women's soccer team, but there's at least a thought or two in my mind that they might have pulled a few stunts that caused No. 15 to lose her cool. Doesn't make it right, but if that were the case, at least then I could understand why she did some of these things.

John Kreese is her coach? :)

I can't believe people are seriously trying to defend this kid.

Yeah, BYU's athletic teams have a well-deserved reputation for being dirty but that in NO fucking way excuses or justifies this chick's goon squad moves. She's a thug and got what she deserved.

We sure as fuck wouldn't be trying to justify it in a men's sport.

I wonder if 15 has a rep around the league for these types of fouls. She could have been doing this all season, but got away with it since there weren't TV cameras (or as many TV cameras) around to catch her in the act.

There is no way that anyone in any way would try and justify thuggish behavior done to intentionally injure and possibly ruin the life of an opposing player if this was a men's sport...

If so, I can't believe she wasn't red-carded at least once during the season. Unless MWC soccer officials are just galacticly incompetent.

Right you are. No, she didn't go studs up, as you have corrected yourself. But yes, it was reckless. Sure, she may have been "going for the ball" but it doesn't change the fact how reckless she was going for it. Yellow card.

Noticed that New Mexico led the MWC in fouls, but to be fair, TCU had committed a seven fewer fouls in two fewer games.

    Good.

And nice to see the obligatory statement that she didn't write and probably doesn't agree with.

Not sure if this has been mentioned on any of the six pages of this thread, but UNM has deleted any mentions of Lambert's hometown/previous school on the UNM roster and Lambert's bio:

No doubt an attempt to prevent a media horde from descending on her parents' house.
