    You would think so...

But I haven't seen word one about this. Perhaps I missed it, but a week of scanning the AV Press Web site for headlines or stories on this has come up bupkis.

Very good followup by the NY Times.

She is completely and utterly full of shit.

Sorry, not buying the "people just don't understand the game" argument. The people who have been toughest on her are the people who know the game, who can see what she did in an intent to injure the opponent. The ponytail was the big highlight, but some of the other stuff was pretty awful, no matter how much she wants to minimize it.

    I don't think she's full of shit.

Her action was indefensible, Lambert said Tuesday

Considering all the half apologies/apologies written by lawyers/"I'm sorry if I offended anyone" bullshit I see, I rarely see the following:

“I have so much regret. I can’t believe I did that.”

    Good enough for me.

  5. The slide tackle from behind was pretty bad.

  6. You're right.
Kudos for offering a full-fledged apology.

I don't buy the apology. She is just sorry she got caught. She is probably looking for the person who shot the video so she can throw some more elbows and fists.

She's offering a full-fledged apology for the ponytail.

The rest of it is just sexist rubes being mean because she's a girl.

    Sorry, not buying that.

Why is she talking to kids about fair play? I could see doing this after some considerable time has passed and she has shown the ability to keep her emotions under control on the pitch, but not weeks after the incident. And not while she's still suspended.

For all of the people calling bullshit on this apology, what would your protocol for Lambert be? Spell it out.
