I'm really late to this thread, but....

My wife, who is a chef/caterer, is out delivering a vegan chocolate cake right now. As per industry standards, she doubled the price of her ingredients and then added some cost for her time, and that cake is costing her customer $70. I compiled the spreadsheet as wife was pricing the cake, and those vegan ingredients are really expensive. She used used five ounces of something called cacao butter in the icing, and her cost on that stuff alone was more than $7. It's crazy.
