People get frustrated and take it as a personal affront when others get a job, as if admitting that the person deserved it would be admitting personal failure. No way to go through life. Everyone's path is different and for different reasons.

Life's too short to be anything other than happy for the kid...

Pube isn't in the business, Mizzou. Just ignore him.

So I guess the next thread will be for an opening at The Palm Beach Post for Jeff's job . . . and considering the past two people to hold the position have gone to ESPN and Miami, it should be a top gig. Tough to fill this soon, though.

I wonder if they just hand the job to Bedard, who was Darlington's backup.

Likely, but then there's an opening for a Dolphins #2. The Post lost another writer in the past week to CBS Sportsline, but he was more of a utility guy who filled in for some pro events and did some preps.

Darlington is covering opener. looks like Bedard will move up after that. they do have someone on staff who turned down the Dolphins job at Herald before Darlington took it.

Is that the guy who used to work at the AJC? I know who it is, but I'm spacing the name. I think he used to cover the Braves. Did he actually turn it down? I heard he interviewed, but I didn't think it was offered... Oh well, it doesn't matter now...

Don't know whether he worked in Atlanta before or not, but Jamey Eisenberg is who is leaving for CBS.

Jamey... so loyal for so long.

Yet unrequited by Burke and Moschella.
