First, thanks in advance for getting this thread shut down.

Second, a CNN poll about marriage equality was released in advance of the Supreme Court's rulings, and it showed 55 percent of Americans supported gay marriage, and 60 percent said the federal government should treat gay marriages the same as they do for straight people. The results aren't broken out by education, but they are broken out by age. The younger you are, the more likely you were to answer in the affirmative.

I don't think many people are turning down a great job offer flat because it happens to be in a state that has fought to prevent gay marriage. However, I do believe people would not even consider such a location in the first place, or that it could be a tiebreaker. With gay marriage support so overwhelming among those 30 and younger, companies do risk losing young talent because they're in a backwater. A company like Cummins, in a small (though beautiful) town like Columbus, Ind., probably has enough trouble attracting talent. There's a real risk of that being the kind of company that pulls up stakes and moves elsewhere. After all, it's not all that hard to move a corporate headquarters.

He can't get the thread shut down if no one responds to him. Let him shout at clouds.

Since you are in blatant violation of the board's about whining about moderation, for you to have any credibility in your own eyes you must ban yourself.

Indianapolis also has a big convention business that presumably has lost shows and clients because various companies have anti-discrimination policies.

It's only Wednesday, but Dog Boy already has won this week's Pouty McPout trophy.

It affects where people choose to live, too. Plenty of Manhattan commuters live in New Jersey and Connecticut. Very few, by comparison, Chicago commuters live in Indiana. They consider it a state-sized cow town.

As always, when there's a big decision handed down, I'm impressed at the work SCOTUSblog does.

If you want to see a true epic straight white Christian freakout over this, go the Twitter feed of Fox commentator Todd Starnes.

I'd hate to interrupt him while he's on a roll, but the Germans didn't bomb Pearl Harbor, and marriage equality laws don't require pastors to marry anyone they don't want to marry. Heck, pastors already turn down marrying straight couples for all sorts of reasons. The laws merely say the state can't turn you down because you're gay. Churches and other houses of worship are free to marry or not marry whomever they choose.

The people worrying about that sort of stuff are ignoring churches already refuse to marry people all the time without legal challenges.
