He's held as many public offices in the past six years as Palin has.

Lol. And there's a chance in hell their plans could be implemented?

Meanwhile, what's grandma's plan to deal with income inequality? What's her plan to reduce gun violence? Has she given details on her immigration plan?

All candidates run on platitudes. Obama was no more specific than Hope & Change and few were offended by that.

Obama's platitudes resonated with voters in 2007/2008. Trump's are resonating this cycle.

Kind of odd to call Trump's eruptions platitudes.

If by "platitudes" you mean bombast, you're spot on.

Rubio's immigration plan almost WAS implemented. It absolutely can be.

Cruz talked about holding up the Iran deal on a very specific technicality. Absolutely can be done.

Bush's tax plan basically was implemented during his brother's presidency.

Clinton has a long and pretty consistent record on gun control.

On immigration, she hasn't gotten too specific. Has Trump explained yet how he's going to deport 11 million people at once, amend the Constitution to invalidate "anchor baby" status (actually, he's already said he doesn't have time to do it the right way, so he'll do it by fiat), and get Mexico to build a wall for us?

Promises. Rooted in policy. Platitudes are empty. Things said by serious presidential candidates are never empty.

    Obama's unkept promises: a scorecard

"So's your face!" is a platitude. Granted, not one that's typically part of a presidential election.

If Trump said that about Fiorina, imagine what he'll say about Hillary.

"I have better hair than you do!"

Trump's bumper stickers will be great.

Trump 2016: I know you are but what am I?
Trump 2016: Oh yeah, well, your Mom!
    Trump 2016: I don't shut up, I grow up...and when I look at you I throw up.
Trump 2016: I got your nose.

None of Trump's "proposals" mean a goddamn thing because every fucking word is a lie.
