I don't want to get into a semantics argument for a joke post, so I'll say that his calling it was a "legitimate" idea to discuss was close enough to saying he suggested it for the purpose of a joke.

 

The outsiders (Trump, Carson, Fiorina) are fueled by voter anger that will not dissipate when these candidates fade. It will go somewhere else, and my guess is these votes will end up going to Cruz, who right now is laying low and keeping his powder dry.

 

Once Walker stole $250 million from the University of Wisconsin system and gave it to the fatcat owners of the Milwaukee Bucks, it was over.

Donald Trump's controversial Twitter account is a big asset to his presidential campaign, with its 4.4 million followers -- except when it isn't. On Monday morning, The Donald told the good people of Twitter to ask him whatever they wanted by using the hashtag #AskTrump, but the gambit totally backfired.

Within six hours, more than 50,000 Tweets including the hashtag had been posted. A small fraction of these Tweets were legitimate questions about his policies, and he responded to many of them with short videos. But a large part of the Twitterati took the callout as a chance to bust out their best Trump jokes. They mocked and criticized almost everything about Trump's persona and viewpoints.

It may have become an issue if Walker had been doing well, but it was a non-factor in the Republican nomination process, in his fall in the polls, or in his decision to get out of the race.
