Hey, steroid brain. I do not work in Bristol, I am a freelance technician, not a LOW-LEVEL employee. As far as I'm concerned, you showed your typical arrogance with that one.
Why the fuck should I post my name? You were the one called out, not me. If you tried to turn this one me, you are a coward and a liar.
    Your move, syringe breath.

I'm not sure your colleague agrees with you:

That's some rather vigorous shower singing or LL Bean catalog reading.

Pot, kettle, black. And this obviously isn't restricted to you, Mert. In fact, IMO, you are one of the least hypocritical voices when it comes to this subject.

The last two of Mert's quoted sentences, given the board history, are metaphorically akin to attempting several martial arts moves on Bruce Lee and then admonishing him for subsequently kicking you in the ribs. Just because one may not be as skilled at rhetorically yanking the clothes off of his adversary as his foe, that doesn't mean he's not trying. Consistently.

Every now and then, a horse will successfully focus its tail on a specific fly, and I'm sure in that instant before the targeted insect will descend at near-terminal velocity, lifelessly, to the ground, it feels unwarrantably singled-out. And then, in the millisecond after it has been struck by the equine tail and before it dies, it remembers that it bit the hoofed mammal first.

Rokski, this is getting ridiculous. JDV is not doing whatever lame-ass equine tail metaphor to anybody, and nobody is doing likewise to him. Both sides are letting some steam off, jabbing at each other. You're the only one who is seemingly taking this seriously. Your Tourette's-like defenses are about the only thing we can really do without in this whole JDV madness.

Who says I'm not letting some steam off, dw?

People gave me a hard time for posting on the haiku thread, but it was just a way for me to keep my mind active during work downtime. Writing isn't just part of my jobs, it's also something I do for fun. Some people do crosswords. Some drink. Some smoke. I like to write, among other things, as my relaxation.

I stand by the point I mentioned in my 'lame-ass' metaphors, too. I just don't care that much about what some people say when they're upset, which is why I ignore most of my detractors - at least when they're at their most vitriolic - here. I defend JDV a lot more than myself, and I really don't do that anymore. When I do, I do it for my own reasons, whether literary practice, my amusement or to slap an internet coast-to-coast high-five with my brother.

Hey, no one stopped Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf from saying what he needed to on the court, right? So what's wrong with a little BBS Tourette's? I'm hardly the only one 'afflicted' on SJ. :)

I hear you DW, I don't always get the extended metaphors either, but this was pretty creative/well written by Rok (albeit unneeded in complexity) & you are right by & large those guys don't bother me at all...they amuse me & play into my hands/plans. At their best they annoy me.

But look, Rok is right in this respect. Nobody get along with everyone. Some ppl you like & some you don't - that is normal. Typically, the stronger your personality the more you can rub people the right & wrong way. Rok & I have strong personalities. Which makes us fun to watch & love/hate. Part of the "job" so to speak.

However, where I agree with him is that these guys attack us first & every attempt at detente on our part is met by more attacks/stalking on their part. It never ends. They dish it out all day long to their self-congratulatory schoolyard snickers, but they can't take sh@@ & I have been playing with kid gloves with them, bc that is all I need & I am trying to be classy/fun about it. Then they say "we don't care about you" when that is the biggest lie of all as their actions & our thread counts bely (this is another thread over 1,000 views. How many is that in a row???? I can't remember the last one that was not 1000+).

So, Rok can speak for himself & while I back my bro 150% I don't need to defend him here as I think the facts do for him.

I will say this: I really don't care much. However, I would propose again that if they can't stay away from the heat (as they seemingly can't & they live on this board) try to contribute something to the discussion.

If you disagree with what we say (as opposed to the unsuspenseful & boring neverending insult vomit fest by their crew) then post something about that on topic.

What they do now is try to follow us from thread to thread and dump their personal attacks, threadjack, etc.. They never offer anything useful to the discussions. I mean every single post I have ever seen by them (admittedly I only read 1/2 of what they post on my threads) could all be dumped into "Random Thoughts" or a thread titled "why I hate JDV/Rok".

So, yes, the act is tired (was it ever good? No.), but they still give me heat and occasional amusement/sport which works for me, but if they grew up it would make for better threads. That is all I am saying & I think Rok is as well.

    Thanks DW,

    JDV
