Not all of them Scottish-born. But all of them raised in Oz.

Other smarty-pants rock fact -- their brother George was founding member of the Easybeats ("Friday on My Mind"). He produced most of their early records with Harry Vanda, also an Easybeat.

And Olivia Newton-John's boyfriend vanished and was thought to have fallen off a boat at sea, but is also suspected of faking his disappearance to avoid child-support payments to another woman.

"Friday On My Mind" is one of the great pop records ever. Were those guys not also Flash and the Pan, who had a minor hit (in North America anyway) years ago with "Hey, St. Peter"?

"Hey St. Peter" is a Fred staple. I remember that "Media Man" and "Night of the Jet Setters' Ball" also got some spin.
