Williams got KO'd by Bart Gunn (real name Mike Polchlopek) in the brawl for all. It's ironic that this was an actual competition and not a work. Vince did want to put Williams over as a bad ass but it backfired. He should have just made the whole thing a work.

Williams also hurt his leg when he was knocked down by Gunn. That leg injury ended up stopping any sort of run that he was going to have in the WWF.

Other funny thing about Brawl for It All. When Vinny Pazienza was set to referee the Gunn/Butterbean bout, he thought it was supposed to be a work, and was shocked that it was going to be legit. Luckily for him, but not for Bart, it ended pretty quick.

I still shudder if I hear the name 'Lance Von Erich!'

Good lord, that's one von Erich I forgot about. They were progressively worse wrestlers as you moved on down the line.

Are any of the Von Erichs still alive? The barefoot one, maybe?

I think you're right. And they all died in freaky-ass ways, too.

Technically he's not a Von Erich, or at least not blood relations to the Adkisson family. They brought him in after David died (or maybe after Mike, I forget) and was billed as a son of Waldo and thus a cousin to Kerry/Kevin/whoever was alive by this point. But he didn't last long.

YGBFKM: Yes, Kevin is still alive. He's the last of his generation, and his parents are dead as well. There's some Von Erich in the generation beneath him, most notable Lacey Von Erich, Kerry's daughter and very horrible wrestler in TNA.

Jack was electrocuted, but he was like 6.
Mike, Chris and eventually Kerry killed themselves, and I think in Mike and Kerry's cases it was that they were about to be arrested on drug charges.
David nobody seems to get a handle on. Allegedly he died of cardiac arrest brought on by some sort of kidney infection after a match, but it's long been believed that he OD'd in his hotel room in Japan and that (speaking of freaky deaths) Bruiser Brody was seen flushing drugs down the toilet.

I always thought Bruiser Brody was cool. Was it another wrestler that stabbed him to death in Puerto Rico?

Yeah, Jose Gonzalez (known as Invader I, one of the most popular wrestlers in PR) stabbed him in the locker room before a show. Nobody knows why, though there's been a lot of speculation. Nobody in the locker room was willing to testify against Gonzalez, and he was found not guilty, going back to being the popular Invader I without missing a step.

I wonder if Bruiser Brody dies with his boots on. Too soon?
