I actually don't care if she killed herself because of this. But since she killed herself well before the article was ever seen (and had attempted to killer herself once before when she'd never even met the writer), I would think it's incumbent on those who insist the article was at fault to offer proof that's a little more substantial than "I think so."

Chris Jones has a few observations shared on Twitter:

Twitter doesn't have a blue font, btw.

You'll need to offer more proof than, "I think not."

Actually, no. I'm not the one making any assertions. And, as I've said before, even if it is the case, I don't care. Suicidal people commit suicide. If they commit suicide after you've found out a whole bunch of their assertions are lies, how does that make you responsible?

Tony, the abuse, the rejection, the shame -- those are the things that lead to suicide.

And, she was born anatomically a male. But, if she decided to transition to a woman, it's because she believed she was always a woman, in a man's body.

That doesn't make someone "fucked up".

Actually, yes. And of course your last sentence isn't what happened. The cause is he outed her to colleagues and told her he was writing about her being transgendered.

Why don't you try? All you've told us is that you think it's "breathtakingly good" and should be in BASW.

Why don't you tell us what you liked about it?

You'll have to try really hard. Getting past the incredible plot twist where it's chillingly revealed that she's transgendered kinda makes it not a really well told story.

If Chris Jones and his chowder society tell me it's good, then I'm sold.
