We had one teacher who lived down the street and always mowed the lawn in a bikini top -- my brother's friends used to call each other when she was out to tell each other to drive by on their way over. I never heard about it going farther than every boy's nighttime fantasy material. She is now in her early 60s and is one of the most gorgeous older women I've ever seen.

Other than that, I can't think of a teacher who would have been thought of in that way. Too old. Damn union entrenchment.

Had a male teacher who retired immediately after getting an inheritance. It was weird because he really seems to love teaching and he was close to pension and lifetime health care thresholds. There were strong rumors that the district forced him out because of this stuff; those rumors were confirmed for most when the local paper published an interview with one of his former students, who said the abuse started when she was 14. He denied it and had a lot of supporters. But other people had heard about a later case of a girl going to his house for tutoring and escaping through the bathroom window after he made his move.

 

How many times do we need to go over this, folks?
