Yep, you got it. Anyone who defends Obama for shit he didn't say wants Ebola to spread.

Thing is, idiotic statements like that fit right in with the rest of your work on this thread.

Just preparing for an Ebola patient is going to be expensive for hospitals. Having one show up in their ER will fuck them:

Dallas Ebola patient Amber Vinson contacted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention before boarding the Frontier Airlines flight Monday because she had a slight fever, a federal government spokesperson told NBC News Wednesday.

Vinson was running a 99.5 degree fever, but was not told that she could not fly, the spokesman told NBC News. When she called in, staff looked at the CDC website for guidance. At the time, the category for “uncertain risk” said a person could fly commercially if their temperature was below the threshold of 100.4 degrees.

“Vinson was not told that she could not fly,” the government spokesperson told NBC News.

Would it be better leadership if he said the plague is loose and we're all going to die? Of course the government says that it will do all it can to protect the citizenry, they always do. If it were a Republican president he'd say the same damn thing, and we wouldn't believe he could prevent a disease either.

When almost anything the president proposes is reflexively opposed, how much power does he have? Or to rephrase it, if Congress refuses to cooperate, how much is his power decreased? I don't know what this SG nominee might have had to offer in this crisis, he might have done well or might have been a non-factor. The SG does not have the power of the president, but he is a physician chosen to advise and lead on health issues. Recently Fox was complaining about the lack of a SG after helping block him. Fox News and the NRA did everything in their power to block the nomination though, and now they want to bitch?

As to not needing a sitter, I suppose not, but the thread looks to be about 20% blaming Obama over the last several pages. I suppose the truth must hurt if that gentle a jab gets a response.

If this thread gets locked, it won't be because of my posts. "Personal responsibility" ring any bells?

Cleveland area schools close because one staff member (possibly) flew on the same plane (but not the same flight) as the newly diagnosed patient:

    LOL at Betsy McCaughey.

But, the federal government bought hundreds of millions of doses of H1N1 vaccine in 2009. There's no reason it shouldn't foot the bill now for proper equipment and preparation for some strategically located hospitals. It's a public health issue.

Also, using hazmat gear is perilous? Is it more perilous than getting the disease? The protective gear may be cumbersome, but I've never heard anyone use that as a reason it won't work. I can only imagine how stupid that would sound to a doctor in Africa. "We can't control the spread of the disease because our protective gear is too hard to put on."

    Dallas County to declare 'disaster":

Pretty crazy that they're going to impose travel restrictions on the healthcare workers.

It's really not that crazy. Everyone wants the disease stopped, this is the type of vigilance it'll take to nip it in the bud.

Can you imagine how apeshit people would go if they did the opposite?

Can you imagine how apeshit people would be if this were a conservative leadership?
